What the heck is a grant doula?
Why I chose this name
Many years ago, I learned about doulas in the world of birth work. Doulas are trusted, non-medical professionals who provide physical, emotional, and informational support during birth, pregnancy, and early parenting.

In my grant writing work, I noticed that the actual writing process was only one portion of what I offer to clients. I also provide informational support about the grant funding process, identify and vet prospective funders, coordinate the application process, and provide strategic input on program design and budget.

I combined my background in and passion for maternal health with my grant writing skillset, and The Grant Doula was born.
